Trib.es changes ownership for USD 500. A sedo-user put down a single bid and won the auction as there were no competition.

Tribes.com is a non-profit and NOT the new owner

The californian non-profit Tribes Learning Community, Inc. ownes the .com domain 'tribes.com'. However, the domain hack trib.es now redirects to a German viral news site virtualnights.com.

It is not the first time the domain hack changed the owner

Already in 2013, the domain hack trib.es changed the owner at sedo. Back then, the domain was valued at USD 1,500, which means that that the back-then buyer and now seller lost USD 1,000 within two years.
